I could it would be zero stars for the…

Update:As promised if this matter was resolved I would alter my review.I just received my parcel at the original price I paid with the size I wanted. Service greatly improved, thrilled with my purchase.Previous:I could it would be zero stars for the service I have received so far.A few days ago I purchased a ring for £950 in a size 53mm. I was unsure at the time of the size but the size I wanted was out of stock so thought I would give the smaller one a bash and see.A couple of days later I noticed they had a size 55mm in stock, I was absolutely delighted and phoned Selfridges to cancel my original order as I had no confirmation this had been dispatched. I called early on the Sunday morning and they were not sure if I could be cancelled and had to get through to another department. Unfortunately, I was too late and the following day the parcel was despatched. I was very understanding about this and was advised by the service advisor to refuse delivery and it would be returned to sender for a refund.I decided to purchase the 55mm just incase it went out of stock.Yesterday the parcel for the 53mm was refused as per instructed.This morning I get an email to tell me that the 55mm is out of stock and they were sincerely sorry for any disappointment caused. I could accept this if they haven't increased the price and now had x 4 55mm in stock along with a whole stock more of other sizes previously unavailable.To day I was curious was an understatement. I spoke to Ty this morning who advised sometimes stock levels can be wrong. I understand this, I worked in retail and sometimes computers get it wrong. However, in less than 10 days the stock level changed from 0 to 1 to 4 and it's interesting how there should be more available now the price has increased.My complaint has been passed on apparently and I am awaiting a response. So far I am £1910 (includes two lots of delivery) down with no rings and feeling utter frustration. I called again a few hours later as I would have expected this to be dealt with rather swiftly. I was told it could take 24 hours and there is no guarantee even if they do have this in stock that they would honour the original price.If this is rectified and dealt with appropriately (aka source a 55mm ring at £950 original) I will of course change my review but I'm not holding my breath!

Recommended, both online & in store

I have purchased from Selfridges online store three times now, and each time I've had my parcel it's like Christmas - beautifully wrapped items, well packaged, fast delivery and easy returns with quick refunds. I paid for Selfridges+ postage so that I can order as many times within the year which is well worth it. I enjoy shopping with Selfridges online, and in store if I'm ever in London, as they have a great range and enticing products. Sizing is a bit of an issue for online orders though as you have to take a wild guess at times, and there are no product reviews which would be helpful for both size and quality purposes, plus the wish list could be made easier to view and edit, but on the whole, so far, so great!

Excellent Customer Service

Well, we had amazing customer service from Selfridges today, my 12 year old daughter visited the Anastasia counter and was treated like royalty by the lovely lady there! There was no rushing or fuss, the lovely assistant took time with her and she left feeling like a million dollars with new eyebrows!! There were so many young girls there who left feeling like princesses! I had the same experience whilst buying a Louboutin nail varnish (who knew?) the guy who served me was wonderful, OMG I’ve worked in the prestige motor trade for many years and didn’t know this level of customer service existed! And I’m selling £100k cars not a £35 lipstick! Well done Selfridges you are awesome at looking after your customers and making them feel special x The car trade could learn a trick from you x

I love shopping here..

I love shopping here... yes it's expensive, but you get what you pay for in my opinion. I wish they did some more events where they had a sale on, as you know they must have incredible profit margins considering the eye watering price of some of the clothes, but with that said the service you're given is amazing and the little yellow bag is a staple of the high street!

Very good customer service

I placed an order for delivery to Spain. Despite showing as available for delivery to Spain on the website, it turned out one of the items was prohibited customs-wise post Brexit. The whole package was kept by customs in Spain and I was informed it would be returned back to Selfridges. I had to chase up on this, and suspect if I hadn't chased the package would have been held there longer. However, I give four stars as the customer service team were quick to deal with this when I flagged it up. They followed up with the courier and kept me informed about the refund. Replies to my email were very fast, generally within hours, and also at weekends. At first my refund was missing the import taxes, but the remainder was quickly refunded also once I pointed this out. It seems there are maybe a few gaps in process when it comes to Selfridges proactively being on top of chasing up international deliveries that have gotten caught up with customs issues, but customer services were quick to sort these out when reported to them. I hope these customs issues are logged to improve the process for EU orders, but at least knowing that customer services can resolve these issues I will order again in the future.

One of my favourite companies to shop online. I'm actually so surprised by all the bad reviews. I've shopped from this website at least four times this year so far, and each and every one has been a great experience. I have bought items for my husband for fathers day, I bought myself boots, makeup and also clothes. Everything arrives within good time, I like how the outside box is brown but yellow inside.
