Yesterday (2/20/20), I attempted to place an order with Omaha Steaks. I wanted to try their services, so this was a test order to see how well everything would go.The process went well at their website for two items ((Family Value Pack ($29.99) and a few steaks ($37.99)) the order also included a free complimentary knife set; and shipping charges were quoted at $17.99; total $85.97 without taxes.I switched over to PayPal to finalize the order, and the costs for the items mysteriously changed. The Family Value Pack increased to $54.99, and the shipping charges increase to $19.99; I believe that the other item remained the same, but the final subtotal jumped to $109.97 and the free knife set disappeared from the order.Luckily, I checked my order prior to submitting it, and was able to cancel it through PayPal. I went back to my shopping cart at Omaha, and the items were still listed at their original prices.I contacted Omaha's Customer Service multiple times via e-mail over the matter, and they repeatedly acted like the problem was probably at my end, which is impossible, and they recommended calling them to place the order, which I indicated would totally undermine what is meant to be a convenient and seamless ordering process.All that being said, after all of the associated frustration, I decided to forego the current order and any future activities with them.

Very good but pricey

Had ordered a few times back in the day but became regular customer during the pandemic. We order the better cuts, Prime Reserve, they are pricey but excellent. Filets on Par with Capital Grille . Soemtimes I break orders up in to multiple orders so as to be able to get multiple gifts and use multiple emailed coupons. Sides like cream corn and fried are good too. Even like the dessets such as choc souflees and apple tartlets.

Tried and true.

Never disappointed in the filet and it’s consistent proper cut, taste, and good quality. And, the individual meat packaging is a convenience (and have always been properly sealed). We’ve ‘tested’ some of the other cuts and do like the sirloin tips as well, but stick to what we know we love. We have taste-tested 2 national competitors who fell miserably short in cut, taste, texture, packaging and...customer service. So for what they advertise and deliver, we find Omaha Steaks the better provider. An added comment on Omaha Steaks - We’ve tried their food assortments as a novelty, not what we find to our particular liking, but nothing went to waste. We do buy much of our meats from a local butcher shop, but there’s a convenience in having some good quality filets in the freezer.

I've purchased from Omaha Steaks many times. It took a few practices to get use to their site's algorithm, neither good nor bad. All in all, I really like Omaha Steaks products, every one. Quality is valued. I've had a couple issues with local delivery but Omaha Steaks has helped get through each issue. I was not so nice when the local delivery failed but again, Omaha Steaks pulled through. ~ One Dedicated Customer
