Brilliant Experience from Birkenstock Germany . I ordered over the weekend a pair of new Bryson Ladies Boots using UPS Express option text this morning Tuesday out for delivery . The Bryson Boots Hunter Green arrived direct from Germany well packaged quality boots . I purchased my usual Arizona Sandal size a Eu 38 ( have a very high arch ) did wonder if I should size up with having a Sheepskin lining in the Boots not needed perfect fit . Delighted with my experience with Birkenstock would order from them again. .

I ordered a pair of shoes and received confirmation by email the same day from Birkenstock.com of my order. When I had not received any news5 working days later, I called the number on the email (+44 2078621725) to check the status of my order. After waiting just under 30 minutes to speak to someone, it turns out they have no record of my order despite sending me a confirmation. He advised that I should check if payment had been taken and could do no more. He was unapologetic and implied that ordering from a phone or tablet could be the issue (I have never had issues on other websites).Very disappointing service from such a well known company and not what I expect. Will be taking my business elsewhere and would strongly recommend that you don’t use this website.

Fancied trying Birkenstock sandals but we live in the country and I thought I'd order online. Knowing Birkenstock have been around for a while, I didn't check the on-line reviews first - I hope I don't live to regret this!After placing my order, the shoes went on sale and as the status was still "Processing", I thought I'd cancel and re-order at the new price, as well as ordering a pair of sandals. The CS chap was very pleasant but said I couldn't cancel and suggested that I order at the revised price and return the ones I don't want. I did think it was a bit unhelpful that I couldn't cancel, when the order hadn't even been dispatched but went ahead anyway.Both are now showing as "sent" but the tracking hasn't been updated for several days, the status just shows as "Manifested". Also I can only access the tracking through the Birkenstock website - Parcelforce doesn't recognise the number. If orders are sent from Germany, which I now see is the case from other reviews, then the 3-5 days delivery estimate is questionable, even though the Birkenstock tracking states that Parcelforce 24 has been used. So having thought I was ordering from a long-established, reputable company, I'm now wondering how long it will be before my orders are delivered. Even more worrying is how long any refund(s) might take and I've got about £300 tied up in this. Not a good start. 3 stars because I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised and my orders will miraculously appear!UPDATE: From ordering to receipt took about 3 weeks. I wasn't actually in a hurry, so not really a problem as such but I think Birkenstock should be more realistic with their delivery estimate. Conversely, it only took about a week from returning my items to receiving the refund, so that's pretty good. On balance, I probably would order from Birkenstock again, although I would look at buying from a store or other UK supplier first.

It seems that people really struggled with the client service. I personally found it very responsible and helpful (Luxembourg one) although they made the big mistake of changing my delivery address to a weird non existing one which considerably delayed the reception of my order by UPS.

Birkenstock.com has the best selection of sizes for Birkenstocks because they are the "official" online store for Birkenstocks in the USA. They deliver quickly, but not silly fast like Zappos. Most Birkenstocks come in a narrow width preferred by most women and a regular width preferred by most men. Birkenstocks.com stocks both widths, but Zappos and Nordstroms often offer only the narrow width in women's sizes and only the regular width in men's sizes. Be VERY careful if you use Google to reach Birkenstock.com, as Google may send you to copycat websites that look very similar, but are actually fake websites that sell shoddy fake Birkenstocks made in China. When you reach the website, verify it IS "Birkenstock.com". One clue you are at the OFFICIAL website: it almost never offer even a penny discount from list price unless it is a discontinued model. Deep discounts offered on lots of models is the first clue you are on a fake website selling Chinese fakes.

When I read the reviews on here for Birkenstock, I was filling up with dread because I’d just placed an order online and direct for a pair of Arizona sandals to replace the ones I had worn out. But I am pleased to say, in fact very pleased and relieved to say that, I received my parcel today via Parcelforce. I placed the order on 29/03 and bearing in mind it was Easter bank holiday in the UK, my order came within 7 days. During that time, I was able to track the status of my parcel and was emailed when it was out for delivery. My sandals were delivered in perfect condition and I am really pleased with them (hopefully I won’t need another pair for the next couple of years). I can’t comment on the after sale customer service because I don’t need to return for a refund nor have a problem but after reading the bad reviews, it has put me off ordering online direct again, I would rather go to the Birkenstock stores in London or to local a store that sells Birkenstocks but at the moment that isn’t possible due to lockdown.

I have ordered twice from Birkenstock official website so far and have not been disappointed by the service or quality of the footwear. Reasonable delivery time and they sent the right size unlike other retailers of their brand.

Update: the company called me to make this situation right, this was of course after I posted a review on BBB - they claimed that they never received any emails for me and that sometimes messages get lost in their system. Either way they offered to make things right and I was very pleased and honestly surprised by their willingness to help. Although I do wish I didn't have to write a review in order to get a solution. Either way it's pretty awesome that the company is making an effort to correct things.I purchased shoes are directly from Birkenstock.com I thought that was my best bet to get the product directly from the company. The product that I purchased was the classic Birkenstock with Sterling fur on the inside. This was supposed to be a gift and when it arrived with something white and crusty on both heels I'm absolutely mortified. I reached out to the company directly emailing them and emailing them through their website and was ignored both times. I'm actually really shocked at how poorly their customer service is handling Customer issues. I would have never expected them to ignore a problem. I will never be ordering from the website directly in the future forever again, I definitely do not recommend you go to their site to purchase anything. I still don't know what that disgusting crusty white stuff was on both shoes but I had to use Lysol to remove it. Because my present was opened in front of the recipient they also saw everything and felt very badly about the awkward situation. Also considering that we are facing a pandemic receiving shoes that have clearly been either worn or tried on or touched by somebody else that left a stain on it is disgusting and very concerning.

I recently ordered several pairs from the Birkenstock website and having read the reviews here was concerned about having to make a return. I emailed their customer services in advance to sending back the shoes, as advised in their returns policy, and was told to send them back using the pre-paid returns label. All went smoothly, got my refund within about a week. My experience so far has been entirely positive, shipping does take a bit longer than expected but otherwise no issues whatsoever

Have given 3 stars. Might come back and remove some of them if I don't receive my refund soon.Similar problem to others. The delivery estimate given is way out because it turns out that the shoes are despatched from Germany, not the UK. In fact it was 3 to 5 days before they were even despatched. By the time the shoes arrived I wasn't at home any more.Also had problem with the size. I normally take a size 5 regular width in the classic footbed but the footbed on these (Gary) is different with less shaping so there is no ridge for my toes to come up against. Also the toe box is long and deep and they were just too big unfortunately. I emailed Customer Services for advice and received a response explaining the returns process. I would really like to try another size but the cost of postage and length of time it takes for returns to be processed followed by further lengthy delivery makes it an unattractive prospect. It would be good to be able to try then buy in a shop but that appears only to be possible for those who can access London easily. Other retailers only seem to be interested in sandals.As for the return, 11 days after I know it was received in their UK centre I still don't have my refund. It says not to contact them until 8 days after receiving the return confirmation email. They now have a chaser email from me and will receive further daily messages until the money is on its way.
