The staff is SO helpful and friendly.

The staff is consistently so friendly and welcoming. Super attentive and helpful. Gabby at Spotsylvania Mall location was my AE rep and she was so patient and helpful she heard me say to my friend that I was looking for something and she came right over to help me find it. She informed us of all of the sales and deals. Told us about the different kinds of jeans that we were looking at and was overall a perfect ae rep. She also noticed my military ID as I was getting my card to pay and made sure I didn’t miss out on the military discount. She was comparable to a model Chick Fil A employee and I don’t say that lightly.

Good business

The people who work at the stores are all very nice. They often have free returns. Once I returned an item and then the credit card I bought it with expired. A few weeks later I received a gift card in the mail for the amount of the item. It's nice they did it without asking.

I’ve seen a lot of people complaining…

I’ve seen a lot of people complaining because they are still sending promotional emails and having crazy sales and not measuring up to certain standards due to COVID. However, I ordered two pairs of shorts during their 50% off sale on the 26th and one was shipped on the 27th and the second pair shipped today. So I mean, I guess it’s not true for everyone. Some orders are being fulfilled. I have yet to get the shorts though so that’s another story but just thought I’d share my two cents on the whole situation.

Brilliant delivery

Brilliant delivery. I was ordering very late monday night, actually tuesday 2 pair of jeans and some shirts. I am so impressed - now wednesday before 3 pm the package was delivered personal by DHL, to my home in a small norwegian city! Continiously updated on email. Brilliant AE - I will continue shopping at your netshop!

Customer service is so so.

Customer service is not bad. However, they charge their customers for shipping returns even though their stores are closed and customers don't have other options. Also, after paying for shipping to return my items, I contacted customer service and was informed by one of their customer service representatives that they offer pre-paid shipping labels. I had spoken to a customer service representative about shipping fees right before shipping mine out and she failed to mention to me that they in fact offer pre-paid return slips. As a loyal customer who has been shopping there for years, like many of you reading this, it is disappointing. Make sure to ask for a pre-paid return slip before shipping out to AE.

I LOVE THEM

I have been purchasing, online and in store, from American Eagle for a very long time and have never been disappointed. They ship within the week of ordering, usually the next day, and when I paid for fast shipping they complied. When I have called costumer services to change an order or to correct a payment error they have been so helpful and patient. I even ordered something online, found I had ordered the wrong size, and then returned it in the store. I only needed to show the recipient I didn't even need to show the credit card it had been charged to. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I personally have never experienced their cloths not fitting me right, unless I ordered the wrong size, but everyone's different so you may want to try on their clothes in store. But after you know your size they are consistent so you should be good. I LOVE American Eagle and I have never been disappointed.

Nothing is ever in stock

I bought from them once and loved it, i was well aware that there would be import charges, there almost always is from the US, so i don't see the problem in that. AE doesn't decide import charges.The problem is that nothing is ever in stock. I understand that there are some very popular styles, but i have never experienced it that severe with any other online store. I've been checking in every other day (manually, since there's no "email me" option and an employee told me that there was no other way to tell when the styles would come back in stock) for a year now, and i saw that the items i had been waiting for were finally back in stock in my sizes. I happily filled up my cart (since i know how long i have to wait for it otherwise), but when i went to check out, an error message read that i needed to remove certain items since they were no longer in stock. Which turned out to be all eight pairs of pants and jeans in two different sizes and lengths.I tried regulating the amount and deleting some items just in case it was a mistake.I chatted with a nice employee who informed me that it was not a mistake, they really weren't in stock, eventhough i could pick the sizes and add them to the bag.I surely missed out the very short time the items actually were in stock, but it's still very, very disapointing. I'll stop waisting my time checking from now on.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update!I tried purchasing again to prove a point to my husband, and the order went through this time. I recieved the pants today and i'm stoked! Thanks so much! :)
