Ordered a case of New Zealand wine from Waitrose.It came the next day and I can honestly say that I’m delighted. Postage was also minimal.Loving this wine and I’ve tried almost every wine club out there.This is exceptional and was on offer, so cheaper than my wine club ‘deals’ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

DHL let Waitrose down. Not good.

I wish Waitrose didn't use DHL. They are inefficient, don't do what they say they'll do and don't even have a method of resolving delivery problems. Saturday delivery simply 'not loaded on a van'. DHL chap on customer Service himself was confused as confirmed it had been there in plenty of time to have gone out this morning. OK, so what about Sunday? 'We don't do Sunday delivery from the DHL Croydon Depot.' - Really? No DHL vans going out on a Sunday? I'm not criticising Waitrose other than their decision to use DHL but by posting this review I know it will be picked up by Waitrose who hopefully will review their Delivery companies. Waitrose are great but they can't afford to be let down by shoddy & inefficient Depot Managers of companies where they sub contract their deliveries.

great foodstores

great foodstores, I dont use them for anything else, food is always fresh and always tasty, dont have many complaints always been polite and I like the small stores as they are very Customer friendly

Always good

I prefer to buy wines online as it gives chance to read some independent reviews on the wines before ordering. Waitrosecellar has some good deals, offers some different wines to those in store, and the delivery is always quick and reliable.

Problem solved.

Vintage matters!

I am with a lot of others with my experience of vintage but have given them 3 stars, I will explain.......I ordered 12 bottles of 2015 William Fevre Chablis Premiere Cru Vaillons, the price (with discount) was unbelievable, it was cheaper than the William Fevre vineyard shop in Chablis! (I had purchased 2 bottles of the exact same wine last year on a visit to Chablis). I ordered on a Friday evening and picked up the very next day in my local Waitrose. When I opened the box, I instantly saw it was 12 bottles of 2016 and rang customer services straight away to say I ordered the 2015 and everything in the online order process was the 2015 vintage. I was told that in their terms and conditions if they don't have the exact wine, they will supply an alternative. The customer services lady was very nice and understood what I was talking about when referencing vintages and that it could taste different year-in-year out. She recommended we open a bottle and try it, so we did......unfortunately, it was very different to the 2015 to such an extent, we didn't like it. Today, I returned 11 full bottles and 1 bottle opened with 1 glass out of it and explained to the local Waitrose why I was returning it and the conversation I had with the customer services. They accepted my explanation and took the box to return straight away. I will now await my full refund and hopefully will have no 'hassle' receiving it....pity really as I am the one still out of pocket as I had to pay fuel and 2 x bridge toll's to pick up the wine and return it, that I will not get back.For customer services alone, I will award a 3 star rating and I will also be emailing Waitrose head office to recommend they don't send 'alternative' fine wines unless the customer has been contacted. Unfortunately I wont be using the service again.

Cheap delivery for what you get

Cheap delivery for the items you order. Not quite sure why people expect free delivery on such difficult items to send. I would use it again.
