Very high fees, incorrect orders

Postmates service fee is VERY overpriced. The only positive things is that my last two orders were on time. They asked for an 18% TIP!! For a no contact delivery. You didn't even serve me. Luckily this time, everything ordered was delivered, From Subway. Dont order a chopped salad from subway. I assumed lettuce would be included, and there was a sprinkling. Asked for a chopped chicken bacon. Nothing was chopped. They added black olives, pickles!, onions, none of which I asked for. The only good thing was plenty of chicken

Bithday meal gone horribly wrong.. out money and had fast food instead 2 hours later!

I wanted to have a nice meal and ordered through Postmates, expecting to feed my family for my Birthday and most of the order was missing! I received an email from Postmates and they said I had the refund coming and attached the receipt, but still NO refund of the full amount, only $11 of it. I have called to take care of it 3 times and now they are starting to hang up on me. I will NEVER use Postmates again! The worst customer service Tawny G. and driver Garry with Black Hyandia. No Bueno!Update: After 8 days of calling and trying to resolve this issue, the company finally made it right. Don't give up, the squeeky wheel gets the grease! Yay!

After I asked for a refund, they more than helped me!

I contacted them about being incorrectly charged for delivery fees after applying a promo they gave me. I have to say, they took care of me in a more than satisfactory manner. Wish other businesses were this quick to help customers. Due to this excellent service and honest resolution, I am placing another order later for dinner. I highly recommend Postmates to other people.

I work as a delivery driver for…

I work as a delivery driver for postmates and in their policy we as drivers do not and are not required to deliver the food all the way to your doorstep because at times the customer could have an aggressive pet/dog that could put us in danger or at risk of getting hurt. Most people don’t even tip anymore and still expect us to take it to their doorstep. If I text y’all saying I’m outside with your food, I set a timer of five minutes on the app and if you don’t reply or come out I’m leaving with your food and money. I do not have to go looking for you unless you set specific instructions for me to go deliver it to your doorstep, that’s why postmates has an instructions section for you to tell the driver. Y’all complaining that your driver takes long but don’t realize that there’s actually lines of people at restaurants and then there’s traffic and we also have to wait for the food to be prepared, and also having to look for your address. If y’all gonna keep complaining stop being so lazy and go cook your damn self some food. At times we even get 3-5 deliveries at once, the fact that I wait for five minutes or have to go look for you is absurd, I could just leave with your food the moment I arrive but I don’t. If you do not come out when I text/call or knock on your door I have the right to leave with the food I do not have to wait more than five minutes for you, I have other orders that I have to take care of.

Good while it lasted

After seeing these reviews, 3 stars sounds insane of a rating. Me and my wife ordered Cookout. Surprisingly food was still very hot and arrived within 30 minutes. Only thing that I’m criticizing is customer service. PM driver called me and said that a junior tray doesn’t come with 2 sides, but that’s what the menu on the app says. Wading missing food and paid more. Promo code didn’t apply either.

Postmates is a pricey gamble (update near end)

My first two orders with Postmates were great. El Pollo Loco order was messed up but that’s because El Pollo Loco has a tradition of ALWAYS messing up my order. I expect that. No fault on Postmates for that. My third order was a giant failure. I learned the true incompetence of Postmates. An expensive order never arriving and customer service refusing to refund or do anything... actually. DoorDash is way better! Ubereats too. Run far away from Postmates unless you like playing your odds. UPDATE: after my third email to customer service a refund was approved. I will check in a few days to be sure this is the case and update review accordingly.

I'm a driver with Postmates and GrubHub. There is a big difference between the two, in the way the app is set up to being able to contact someone for help if there's a problem. I have tried to find an email or phone number to contact Postmates if I run into a problem on a delivery and I still haven't found one. Complete 180 with GrubHub, as soon as I got "hired" I received an email from basically the driver manager overseeing the area I'm working with the ways to contact her directly. That being said, I have tried to make sure every order I pick up is correct and deliver it to the customer as soon as I can. I'm only doing this for some spending money so I only pick up one order at a time to make sure it makes it to the customer warm and hopefully correct. My only issue (this is for everyone thinking about ordering) is there are orders where I have to go into the restaurant, order the food, pay for it, wait for it to get done and then deliver it to you. I have done this many times and have only gotten like $3 bucks for all that because they didn't tip, that was just what Postmates paid me. So think about that the next time you order. Maybe that's why you can't get someone to deliver to you because we've been screwed over so many times.

Postmates needs to do formal interviews

Although I have not recieved my food occasionally due to no fault of postmates itself I was refunded my money. The only down side is it takes 3-5 business days to go back into your account. It's a great way to earn some extra cash. My girl friend signed up and I went on a few deliveries. Hopefully they accept my application I made a mistake previously and do not think I should be exempt from postmates. They should do formal interviews, which should set them apart from the competition.

Hello everyone i am a postmates driver and i would like to apologize for any of your bad experiences, I honestly love my job however we are limited when it comes to your deliveries... We have no idea what time or when your order was placed so often times when picking up your order we are routed from city to city in the rain during rush hour traffic really late at night during dangerous hours and we don't mind,many times we have multiple orders and we are not perfect please keep in mind we are blowing out tires and replacing batteries let's not forget fueling,hungry thirsty and tired...WE DON'T SET PRICES NOR THE ROUTES PLEASE BE NICE TO US REALLY WERE TRYING SO DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DELIVERY DRIVERS and if you don't believe in tipping can you just go get it yourself THANKS.

I have used Postmates 2 times now. First experience went well. On my recent experience, I ordered two items from CVS and was only delivered one item. I accepted paying the high fees for the delivery in exchange for both items to be delivered. When only one item was delivered, I reached out to support for help and they did nothing at first. It took a couple of tries but they did end up making it right. Convenient service and I hope I have a better experience next time.
