I dont' get their big deal. Their services are SOOOOOO expensive and all you get in return?

I am a senior and am not tech saavy. I got my identity stolen and needed to find a way to secure my computer and other smart devices. I tried many but had not found a single one that was able to secure my accounts. Then I found NORTON 360! I purchased a premium package, which was extremely reasonable, and a new IP address and their password manager have been a Godsend! I've not had a single breach on my desktop, phone or security system when before I subscribed I was having to make new passwords for my various accounts monthly! The product is superior, the customer service unsurpassed and you don't need to be a technical wizard to use it! Two thumbs up for NORD VPN and Nordpass!! They are without doubt the best security software I've bought (and I've bought many) so don't waste your money elsewhere, subscribe to Nord VPN and Nordpass! You won't be sorry!!!

Norton is a great platform to protect devices against digital threats. I am using Norton to protect my laptop for the last year. I found the antivirus software works correctly. I think I have chosen the right platform.

been top notch for us for years & we started using their VPN services (norton wifi privacy) about 1 months ago, after being let down by another VPN provider. I just left a 1star review for those and thought let me just check what reviews Norton is getting - I can't believe they are so negative! We've been getting Norton Internet Security for all our devices office home and mobile for about 3 or 4 years. The product was called something else before, and we were migrated onto "internet security" about 3 or 4 years ago (from memory) so in fact we've been with Norton for longer. The thing is that support in our experience is amazing: they have a 'chat now' service that operates day in day out and if you have an account with them, at least in our case, we get support IMMEDIATELY, there and then. I've probably had 10 times over the past years an engineer from a live chat log in and fix some install or other issue, usually when I could not figure out how to install the same new product on other devices like mobiles. Each time it's a 'no waiting - instant help' situation. It's incredible in nowadays' world - you have to wait in line for everything. And the support people are knowledgeable speak perfect english and are enthusiastic - i mean come on! where do you get all this? Ive seen people here say 'too expensive'. We used to pay something like GBP (£) 60 for 5 devices before we added norton wifi security (VPN) for an extra £14 for the remaining 8 months of the year - is that expensive? Not for what it does I feel. Mobiles, laptops, Desktops - all included. And the VPN: autostarts everytime, every single time. (I know we used to think you could expect that until we bought VPN from a competitor for 2x as much money and it only autostarted at best 10pct of the time!!) So I know you may be sceptic, and i can't speak for the other Norton products, b u t Norton Internet Security + Norton Wifi Privacy (their VPN product) are fab.

The antivirus does its job well when it comes to protecting the machine against threats, I believe the AV-TEST tests results. I already had some false positives, but nothing too bad (when installing developer tools).What is a real problem for me is that I feel the antivirus is bloated, let me explain...Removing temporary files or optimizing your disk is, at least in my opinion, useless, unless your disk is full and you need some MBs (at this point I suggest you to buy a new one instead of paying for this antivirus, Windows Defender, as of today, works just fine). This things you can do to "improve performances" are actually shortening your SSD's lifespan (if you have one). Then, I don't think the browser extensions are useful either: the antivirus comes with a built-in firewall... It can even be a problem for your privacy.After that, I am not a fan of marketing based on fear: Windows Defender is enough for the vast majority of people, and it has improved over the last years (you can see it on AV-TEST), you won't be "less protected" without a paid AV, but you won't get extra feature (that I personally don't want).If you still want to use Norton, I suggest you: to disable automatic performance improvements, to not use the browser extension and to get rid of the pop-ups (it is annoying).For Norton: I understand that some customers feel safer with these features, you can keep adding new ones, but I think it's a good idea to create a light version of Norton, like a "Norton lite" product (that would be cheaper), or to disable all these feature by default.

Had Norton 20 years ago and it was terrible, it slowed my system down to a crawl and just let trojans infect it and didn't do a thing. As a result I swore I would never use Norton again and switched to Kaspersky. For about 15 years it was known on security sites as ineffective bloatware and the one to avoid. The new Norton 360 seems to have gone in a totally different direction and fixed its previous issues so bought a Deluxe subscription to it on Amazon in a sale. Very happy and is doing its job well. Unless anything strange happens I will renew this time next year.

I am trully hope that we really can get something from each antivirus we only try on every level. It's one of the best of them, one of the most stable and so on, I could count it more and more, I am not happy to see so many negative reviews here.

The vast majority of negative reviews here are obviously from people who don't understand how antivirus or subscriptions work. If you can be charged £70 a year for 7 years and not realise then I don't think the problem lies with Norton, as they make it pretty clear what you're signing up for. The software itself is good, if a little unintuitive at times. I've had problems with signing into my account due to the two factor authorisation not working properly and the phone number associated to the account wasn't in use anymore, but I found the customer service to be extremely helpful and the issue was resolved within 30 minutes.Doesn't return too many false-positives and it's easy to change ones that do show up. Never had any issues with viruses or malware. It works and doesn't demand a lot of processing power.
