We tried DirectTV streaming and were disappointed with the sound and the picture not matching. We unfortunately, live out in the country and both internet and streaming are slow. We decided to switch back to Charter TV. Our initial complaint went pretty high up but after calling to check my final bill and speaking to a customer service rep my opinion changed. We were initially told we would owe $170.00 for the equipment. After speaking to the representative today 2/1/22 around 10:50 am, he instructed me to return the equipment to USPS and once the equipment is received, we would not be charged the $170. Since I am on a fixed income this was great news. It was so nice to speak with tis representative and be treated so courteously. I would consider going back to AT&T and Direct.Paula M.

Just know that if you use direct tv for one day or 30 days, you are charged for a whole month. The bill will always be higher than you were told when you signed on.

Friendly Call

I do not have to wait a long time to talk to a person. She connects me directly to the right service representative in a short time. She, Keisha is her name, understands our situation as a loyal customer of over five years to Direct TV; understands that we have failed in trying our best to find a reasonble price with TV channels important for us, and helps us to disconnect Direct TV after listens to the reasons I discuss with her. She invites us to join Direct TV if the company we go with does not satisfy our need in the near future. I am praying Direct TV will have a friendly and inexpensive program for seniors and retirees like us soon.

I'm not happy with my service they have overcharged me since my first bill but I just spoke with a customer service provider named Lysa and she was top notch in my opinion. If I was going to be able to give HER a review it would definitely be a five star!!! Thank you so much miss.... oh call the 800-288-2020 there much more helpful.

If you love Golf do not get this. We have had Direct TV for almost 3…

We have had Direct TV for almost 3 years. Going to switch one contract is up. Customer service is average on a good day.... if you get someone that speaks english clearly. Another problem is if you love watching golf (PGA Tour live)....do NOT get Direct TV. They cannot seem to ever come to a deal with CBS or NBC and we go for MONTHS especially during peak golf without being able to watch the last two+ hours of the game. Absolutely infuriating. We are top tier programing, movies and pay for Sunday ticket. So at over $200 per month you would think I could get CBS or NBC. Nope. On the plus side, their packages are well thought out. They have much more that we actually use. Cox cable is better.

Directv is still better than the rest

I have been a customer of DirectV since 1999, long before they were acquired by AT&T, and their customer service was exceptional. You would call and be immediately connected, seriously no hold time, with a person for whom English was their first Language. I will be the first to admit that their customer service is not as good as it used to be. However I have had experience with Time Warner cable, Xfinity, and I’ve seen what dish network service is like. DirectV is still the best even with their flaws. It seems everyone who has a problem with their TV and Internet service comes to this site to complain, that’s fine there’s always a lot more people to complain but I for one have seen both sides. DirectV has always taken care of any problems and I’ve received several credits over the years For any complaints that I had because they STILL appreciate customer loyalty like no other company I’ve ever dealt with.

Billing concerns

I've been with Direct TV for 7 years and when they merged with AT&T I got a "discount" because I was retired from Bell. Now they have gone up on the rate for the last 2 years which far exceeds my"discount" so I decided to cancel DirectTV. I called today for the disconnect (today is Dec 31). My billing date is the 28th, so I was told I would be billed through Jan 28 !! Which means I have to pay through Jan 28th even though I am with another company and will not be using Direct TV. They will not stop the billing or disconnect or give me credit. Just another way for AT&T to scam customers, although I do have to say I like the Direct TV programming and got good service including tech support, but I don't like the billing situation and the yearly rate increases.

I had DirecTV for 2 years at under…

I had DirecTV for 2 years at under $70/month. Then it increased to $142.49. I called twice to see if I could get a better deal - yes, but still too much compared to switching providers. 10 days after switching I got a "come back to Directv" offer...$49.99/month. Why didn't they just offer to hold the original rate before I switched? Not likely to switch back now as it's simply too inconvenient. Strange marketing. Of course this is typical of these types of service providers but why do consumers have to play these games?

Direct TV Horrible Experience

Direct TV has the worst customer service and automated system. Absolute trash I had to repeat myself so many times. I never complain, but felt COMPELLED to write this review (I never write reviews). I work at a very successful BBQ chain in KY and our internet is down. I am not the account holder. I wasted an hour of my time trying to talk to them to tell them as much info as I can give them. All they had to say in the beginning of the automated system is that they need to talk to the account holder instead of having me jump through stupid loops. It's incompetence on Direct TV and their customer service. Respect your customers time. I will try my best to persuade everyone in the Summit to switch to another service. I've never had this issue before with any other service provider. I am deeply deeply saddened by this service.

I called up to get the NFL Ticket,Direct TV always gives it for free to new customers.They never remember the loyal customers.I have been with Direct TV since 1994 ,like there service.I was on the phone with Customer service where they were doing nothing for me.I was transferred to an Agent in Arizona ,her name was Nayla .She reviewed my account an gave me the NFL Ticket for free for being a loyal customer for 25 yrs.Thankyou NAYLA and DIRECT TV.. Direct TV is the worst provider that you could ever have if a cloud goes by no service if it rains forget it when you subscribe they are very untruthful they cut channels when ever they feel like it does your bill go down I don't think so when you want to get rid of this poor service they want to stick you for more money to terminate your service what a joke be smart please go somewhere else you will be glad you did just wanted to let you know before they stick it to you

After a frustrating phone call earlier…

After a frustrating phone call earlier trying to get a receiver replaced at my home, Billy ( BC396A ) from the Tulsa location was AMAZING!! I run a retail store and going above and beyond is rare nowadays. He did just that and I commend him for it and hope that the higher ups read these and acknowledge the people whom are written about.
