Chegg is only for certain circumstances

Chegg is decent. However, for upper level courses, it is useless for instant responses. Despite what the advertisements may boast, there are many questions, and few answers. You need to plan ahead to get an answer, and that is not guaranteed. If you are taking a lower level course, chegg is a great fit, but if you are taking an upper level course- be warned- you need to work weeks in advance. The site is rather glitchy and hard to navigate, and this is the main fallacy. It has what you need, but with issues.

Chegg has always had the books I need in stock or in ebook form which I appreciate. My biggest gripe is that with the ebooks there are constant issues with highlighting. I have had the same issue over numerous ebooks. You select the quote you wish to highlight, and the page resets itself and will not highlight the section you wanted at all. I have gone back and forth with the chegg customer service reps over this issue too many times and it never gets resolved. The best answer I got was that it's an issue with the code that was written for the book and there is no timeline to fix the issue. It's incredibly annoying and the only reason I keep renting the ebooks instead of the hard copies is because I can search specific words and its more convenient. 3 stars at best until they fix what seems to be a universal issue with all of their ebooks.

Make improvements

Chegg has great services. I think there needs to be a file button where customers can post files as well as pictures. Sometimes the work that needs to be answered may have a spreadsheet file and too much information to take a whole bunch of pictures. When a question is posted, customers should be able to upload documents and other files to help these tutors get the right answer and to do so, they need all the information provided for that question.

Great experience

I returned my books only a week or two after I ordered them because I found a cheaper option. I didn’t get my money refunded right away so I called customer service and the lady handled the problem perfectly. Had everything fixed in about 2 minutes and was so polite… might’ve been the easiest call I’ve ever made to any customer service.

I find purchasing my textbooks on Chegg…

I find purchasing my textbooks on Chegg to be easy, but the way the buying is laid out is a bit odd. Chegg uses a system to where taxes are calculated after the discount is taken off as opposed to before they are. So someone new to this will think that the item will cost more and that the $5 discount given was not really given (it was eaten up by the taxes). I found that, after I calculated the amount myself, it came out to the same overall price. It was just something I found a bit misleading.
