Why do we have to pay return postage? And why is the same dress lined in one colourway and not the other?

I find it annoying that when the vast majority of retail companies offer free returns, ba&sh don't. I have just bought the ALMA SHORT FLOWING DRESS in 2 colourways, red and black and I was very surprised to find the red one is lined and the black one isn't. Hence it feels much flimsier and the quality doesn't feel as good. I wonder what the reasoning is for that…I do love the design of the dress and I would 100% recommend ba&sh for the design of their garments, however, I do feel they are overpriced. When you are paying that much for an item you do not expect to have to pay return postage. After all, we often want to order 2 sizes to see which feels best. So the clothes are lovely, the customer experience less so.

A dress was bought for me from this company in a Belgian store, unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of the colour. We visited the store in Wimbledon where a lovely helpful lady called Veronica helped exchange it for something I liked in the store with no fuss. Great customer service with a smile, thank you Veronica!

No complaints. Ordered on line. Managed to set up account with wrong e mail but got rapid response from customer service e mail (less than 24hrs on two occasions). Respondent first language not English but their English far superior to my French. Order arrived from within UK within three days and good delivery service (options to leave in safe place - always handy if you are out at work most the week). Presentation mediocre - functional rather than luxe, adequately wrapped in tissue paper. Product quality a little underwhelming (dress, no lining or side zip) but very pretty and detailing high quality. Cannot comment on returns as kept item but instructions refer to UK returns address so would not be pricey to return.

I was a bit afraid when I read the reviews here. However I ordered one dress and one pull. I both received them quickly. I didn't like the dress so I returned it. I quickly got my money back for returning the dress. Very happy with the service.

When I didn’t receive an order receipt from ba&sh I came here to see the reviews. I was horrified and thought I would have to redeem my money through Amex. Not so!! In fact my experience with BA&SH is far from what has been documented here. The service has been nothing but excellent. I ordered a denim hat and it arrived two days later, beautifully wrapped and boxed. The quality is also excellent and I will be wearing it on holiday every day. I wrote to customer services to ask about my order as I don’t screenshot after ordering like I normally do and they responded in a timely and efficient manner. Better service than most online companies. If I didn’t like the hat I could return it to any UK store and there are quite a few in London. That is my honest experience.

Issue resolved

Issue resolved - weird charging system where you see the whole order amount pending on bank account and the additional charges every time they ship an item to you, I had thought I was being charged additional but they explained the pending amount disappears. Phew!

Not great quality but otherwise good service received

Felt inclined to leave a review because there’s so many negative ones on here but that doesn’t reflect my experience. I ordered a couple of tops that came very quickly. I was pretty disappointed with the quality, and felt they were very overpriced so returned them accordingly. Yes, I had to pay for my return, but this is made clear on their website - free returns are not a basic human right lol. The return went back to their London store and the refund was processed within 3 days which I think was very reasonable. So no issues for me with customer service, just disappointing product quality.
